Color can be one of the hardest things to envision in a house. So much depends on the location, lighting, angles and softness of the architecture surrounding it, other objects in the room, how you use the room, etc., etc.
It is exhausting.
All too often, it is easier to just head to the white and off-white section of the paint store when it becomes too much to handle.
My post here, therefore, is intended to try to steer you in the other direction... towards all those crazy, bright colors that scare you to pieces.
Color can be amazing. Think stained concrete colored floors, bright colored walls, colored sinks, colored lights, painted cabinets in bright colors... the list is endless.
If nothing else, I hope some of the attached photos show just how versatile colors can be and how much they can make a room POP.
If bright painted walls or a full bathroom of colored tile are too much, consider an accent band. Colored sinks are not that hard to change out if you decide down the road that you want to go back to white - or a different color. Consider bright colors for cabinets in the kitchen or as an accent table or furniture. A fun red, blue or bright green coffee table is a great way to spice up a room.
